Blue cloth-covered boartds, dustwrapper, 7 x 5 inches, 138 pp. Billed as the first work on the waters of Harrogate, a printed label mounted to the first free endpaper reads 'This little book is re-bound to the loved memory of Dr James Rutherford, who practised medicine in Harrogate for thirty-five years, in the hope that it may be of interest to those who value past history in a modern setting'. Biographical notes on the original author by Alex Butler. Dustwrapper bears remains of library label on spine and is a little bumped at some edges; slightly grubby but complete. Book itself has plate of the Library of the Royal Empire Society to 1st pastedown, with withdrawn stamp to that page and the title page, otherwise a good+ tight copy.
