Hardcover with dustjacket, first printing as stated on copyright page, inscribed to "Tom Dorste with warm regards" and signed by the author who has also penned a difficult-to-decipher date below his signature, book is in excellent condition, no remarkable flaws , the jacket has a short edge-tear at the bottom of the front panel along with some mild wear along the bottom edge of the rear panel and mild rubbing, a small area of surface-wear is present on the front panel caused by the removal of a label, the jacket is clean and presentable, the original price (8.95) is present and a professional (removable) mylar cover is included, "the heart of the book has to do with Nat Owings' own artistic and spiritual journey, from Chartres cathedral to the pueblo cities of the Southwest - his growing concern for making cities livable (he led the battle to preserve Baltimore from the highwaymen) , his belief in people and their creativity," illustrated with photos ; 303 pages; Signed by Author .
