Slightest of rubbing to extremities, corners, else a fine copy. Inked ownership inscription of George Meredith to upper wrapper. Novelist and poet George Meredith's (1828-1909) copy of the selected letters of saloniste Caroline Jaubert (1803-1882), correspondent of Berryer and Heinrich Heine, and the mistress of Alfred Musset. .
