Near Fine cloth-bound hardcover with light spotting along the top edge of the text block and a touch of rubbing to the bottom edges of the boards in a Near Fine dust jacket with a hint of wear at the extremities or edges. A very nice copy. All dust jackets are protected by a clear mylar cover. BOOKS SHIP THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY, WRAPPED IN PADDING, IN A BOX. Photographs by William Christenberry; introduction by R.H. Cravens. 136 pages; 72 full-page color plates + 10 b&w text illustrations; 11.5 x 10 inches. SIGNED BY CHRISTENBERRY on the ffep; no inscription. Christenberry's first monograph presents images of structures and the countryside of Hale County, Alabama, taken from 1961 to 1981. Hale County, a region of the rural South where Christenberry grew up, was the area that Walker Evans and James Agee also explored and presented in Now Let Us Praise Famous Men.
