Review copy, with a complimentary slip from Jansen, McClurg tipped in before the title page. Moderate shelf wear, some bubbling of cloth, mostly on back cover, a very good copy. A novel of Cotton Mather, the Puritan colonists, and the Salem witch trials. Wright: American Fiction, 1851-1875; 754.
