About This Item

Durham, NC: Duke Univ. Pr, 1954. First edition. Hardcover. Very Good/Fair. Warmly inscribed by the author in 1955 to "one of the best students I have had in a long time," although the inscription does not identify the recipient. 1954, First Edition. 987 pp. Hardcover, tan cloth. A Very Good copy in a Fair dust jacket. Mild foxing to the text-blocks; clean and unmarked contents; sound binding. The front inner flap of the DJ is loose, but present; significant tearing, with some loss to the spine and front panel; other soil and edgewear as well. The DJ is now attractively presented in a mylar wrap.
