Delaware Water Gap, Pennsylvania: Shawnee Press, 1968. A remarkable vocal chamber work by the distinguished American composer John Eaton (1935-2015), scored for soprano, two pianists, and Syn-Ket - this part very likely adaptable to other types of performance synthesizer, with reference to the composer's own recording of the work. CONTENTS: piano preparation grid, prepared piano performing techniques, performing implements for pianists; the vocal/2-pianist score; the synthesizer (SynKet) score. 31+ pages. CONDITION: The covers show moderate edge- and corner-wear, a couple short tears, and a bit of fading. The interior pages are clear, but contain several (useful) pencilled annotations, made in the early 1970s during composer-supervised rehearsals at Indiana University. The score, published in an Ozalid printing from the composer's transparencies, shows the age-tanning typical of that reproduction process (mainly present in the margins).
