An exceptional copy as it is additionally inscribed on the half title to "Mike(Fitzsimmons) who was there at the start of my favorite Con, & even came to Dubuque - with fond memories of years & Arcons past, and anticipation of more to come George R R Martin ?? 8 7/27/84" Fitzsimmons with his wife Barb(mostly Barb) founded Archon Science Fiction Conference in the early seventies. George R R Martin, Joe Haldeman and others often stayed with them when they came through St Louis. Martin pays tribute to Fitzsimmins on his website. A fine copy in a fine dust jacket in publisher's slipcase, offset to slipcase
