Something Wicked This Way Comes by Bradbury, Ray - 1962

New York: Simon & Schuster, 1962. 1st Edition 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. First edition stated first printing 1962. Hardback book nice and tight with a touch of lean. Upper board is slightly bowed, has softened corners and spotting, the black title is dark and bold. The lower board corners are also softened, and there is spotting of the gold cloth. The spine has some marking, bumped ends and toning, again the black titles are bold. Text block edges have a touch of toning, the red top edge printers stain is bold, except near the spine where there is patch that has mild fading. There was obviously a book plate to the front pastedown, covering a previous owners blue biro notation, a small portion of which can still be seen. Where the bookplate has been removed there is a pull that almost exposes the board beneath, this pull then continues on to the FEP and has thinned the paper considerably. Other than these issues the rest of the pages are very crisp and unblemished, although there is the occasional turned corner. Feels lightly read is still nice and tight. Grades as good condition. No jacket. Note we do not use stock images, the book pictured is the book described. Whilst we have graded this books as good, in the hand it feels better than the grade suggests. A solid copy of this classic Bradbury title.
