New York: Robert M. McBride & Company, 1927. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. Large 8vo 9 - 10. Numbered, signed Limited Edition, this being copy #829 of 850 copies printed. Fine frontis portrait, tissue-guarded. Overall, a still lovely copy indeed. Sturdy, attractive, tightly bound, internally clean hardcover copy, with unbruised tips, neat and tidy paste-downs beyond previous owner's bookplate, neatly affixed; not ex-library, with neither highlighting nor underlining. Medium gray paper over boards, tips and spine being backed with what appears to be a creamy vellum, moderately foxed, and with sharp and distinct gilt illustration to cover and lettering to spine. Upper edges uncut -- a letter opener or the back side of a butter knife will do to open the pages. All three edges untrimmed, deckled. 364 pp. Heavy books or multi-volume sets will require additional postage.
