About the settlers from various well established families partly informed by society gossip, and partly by research conducted by Griffiths in Sydney's Mitchell Library. Covers districts ranging from Watson's Bay to Hunter's Hill including Pott's Point, Elizabeth Bay, Darling Point, Woolahra, Double Bay etc. Written in a chatty informative way with much detail on the architecture and architects involved, as well as family history and friendly relationships with in society that would be of much interest to genealogical research. CONDITION Map eps, tipped in colour frontis illus, 203 pages with numerous illus plate and photo's, copy is crisp and bright with tidy name inside front, associated pamphlets and neatly clipped DJ flaps inserted, very light toned at ends, cloth is very clean with only a tiny nick to front bd near lower spine edge. . First Edition. Cloth. Near Fine/No Jacket. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
