Collins, Sydney, No date. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good Condition/Good. Illustrator: Rex Davies. 140 pp., acknowledgements, introduction by authors, bibliography and index. Text is illustrated with black and white line drawings, and coloured illustrations by Rex Davies. There is no publishing date but published approximately in the early 1970s. Inserted loosely into the book is a newspaper clipping from 1976, along with a ' The Australian Bird Watcher, 1982'. Emerald green boards with gilt writing on the spine. The corners of book are slightly rubbed and the head and the heel of spine are bumped. Illustrated dustwrapper, again by Rex Davies, showing white-plumed honeyeater, with white background and black writing on front panel and spine. There is rubbing to the dustwrapper along the front fold his and back over edge, and back panel. Slight creasing to the dustwrapper edges and there are some grubby marks on front and back panel. "This book describes and illustrates in a straight forward fashion those birds which are most commonly found in the main cities of South-East Australia.". Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
