The portrait, from an unidentified magazine or programme (circa early 1970s), is mounted on foam board with an attached mat, together with a similar colour reproduction of Bolan live on stage playing a guitar, now displayed behind glass in a removable metal frame (visible signed image size 195 × 128 mm, external dimensions 375 × 457 mm). Marc Bolan (1947-1977) died in a car accident shortly before his 30th birthday. Provenance: the personal collection of David Lovatt, proprietor of Bank Street Records, Adelaide (1985-1994). The item was signed for David Lovatt by Marc Bolan when he was in Adelaide during his Australian tour in 1973.
