Moscow: E. Lissner, 1880. Hardcover. Fair. Vol. IX of his collected works, short novels and stories, including one of his greatest works, Torrents of Spring. Large 8vo, original cloth with much discoloration and waterstaining to covers, contents good, inner hinges both repaired neatly. This edition of his collected works, which had the author's editorial participation and contains an important foreword by him discussing his novels, is the first to include any of his critical writings or reviews; earlier collections are in 8 vols. In Russian. Rare in commerce, hardly any in institutions.
