1839. Very good condition. Steel engraving of a striking Mississippi River scene, with Native Americans, canoes and tipis in the foreground, and the mountain in the distance.

The Native American name for the mountain is Hay-nee-ah-cha (also known as Trempealeau Mountain); it is an important archeological site, with numerous mounds, burial sites, and habitation sites.
