The text is illustrated with blue and white drawings by David Knight. Illustrated boards with silver titles to the backstrip and yellow and black titles to the front panel. Original bookseller's sticker to the lower right-hand corner of the front paste-down. The dustjacket is missing the bottom quarter of the spine section and has several short tears, and from the verso appears to have had contact with moisture. There was no corollary damage to the book's binding. Previous owner's name on front free end page The story of a small snowflake, from her birth in the grey winter clouds and her eventual journey to the sea. . Size: 12mo (Small Hardcover). I own this book and would like to win for my grandchildren and great grandchildren to read. It is a beautiful rendition of the Circle of Life, the Creation Story regardless of your specific religion and an explanation of the what each phase of life from birth to death means. A more beautiful story you could not leave for your children and their children to read or have read to them. This is a book that a hospice patient could enjoy having someone read to him or her.
This is a lovely story for everyone on so many levels. I can see this being read to a child with cancer or other debilitating illness.
