About This Item

New York: Little, Brown and Company, 2008. First edition. Near fine.. Signed first printing of this graphic novel following a group of survivors struggling to build a new life after all of humanity is miniaturized by a mysterious blue light. Michael Hague's detailed art is very much in the aesthetic tradition of Golden Age artists like Howard Pyle and Arthur Rackham. His illustrations for collections of classic stories make his art a touchstone of many childhoods. IN THE SMALL, Hague's first graphic novel, reveals his darker side, as the shrunken humans violently do battle with the world around them (and occasionally each other). 10.5'' x 6.75''. Original color pictorial wrapper with small "soon to be a major motion picture" sticker to front. Illustrated in color. [124] pages. Signed by Hague to title page, dated 2008. Wrapper with mild edgewear. Bright and tight overall.
