Red cloth stamped in gilt at spine in acetate dust jacket; 8vo. 53 pp. A Fine copy of the poet's first book, number 105 of 225 copies printed by K[im] K Merker of the press. Strand who would go on to win many awards in his career including the Pulitzer Prize thought highly enough of this his first collection to include ten of these poems in his 1980 Selected Poems. The gilt a bit dull, else all fine (no foxing, soiling) in an clear acetate jacket with one chip else minor loss and wear at edges.
