With the dustwrapper design by Ronald Searle. 'A Sleep of Prisoners' was first performed at St Thomas' Church in Regent Street London in 1951. The play delves in to the problems of four prisoners of war who are locked up in a church in enemy territory. Christopher Fry was an English poet and playwright. One of his more notable works is 'The Lady's Not For Burning'. In the original full cloth binding. Externally, smart with light bumping to the head and tail of spine. Dustwrapper is bumped to the head and tail of spine as well as light rubbing. Light rubbing to the joints and slight age toning. Offsetting to endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright and clean. Very Good Indeed
