About This Item
Aufuldish & Warinner, 2021. Pictorial boards. Near Fine. The 2021 1st --and limited-- edition. ONE OF ONLY 50 COPIES ISSUED, THIS ONE SIGNED BY THE PHOTOGRAPHER BOB ZAHN on the title page. Clean and Near Fine in its pictorial boards, with one tiny closed tear at the foot of the spine. Evocative, thoughtful portraits throughout (not unlike Avedon's seminal "In the American West"), showing people who've made conscious decisions to live off of the grid (either part-time or full-time), in this case in Slab City, California, "a desert Utopia built on the remnants of war bonds"
