Published by John Camden Hotten London, nd [c1870]. Recased in its original red cloth boards. Gilt lettering to spine, gilt lettering and decoration to front board. Bevelled edges, no dustwrapper. 14ins x 10.25ins, unpaginated. Contains colour illustrated title page, printed title page, 2pp introduction, colour plate depicting the 13 colours normally found in a paint box, 6pp text about colours, papers and brushes, 14pp pasted down plates (13 in colour, 1 black and white) each followed by one or two pages of text describing the view and the paint colours used. Each plate is protected by a blank guard page. New endpapers. A little rubbed to top & bottom of spine else VG.
