Cincinnati: Hubbard and Edmands, 1834. First Edition . Hardcover. Fair. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 263pp. Contemporary calf, black spine label, gilt lettering. Rear board detached but present, front board loose but holding, covers worn and scuffed, 1/2 inch chip from lower spine, foxing most haevily to preliminaries, scattered throughout, early school library bookplate and inventory number on front endpapers, 2 inch piece torn from endpaper margin and margin tear at page 101 with slight loss of text, text block is tight. Author's travels along the frontier, discusses pioneer's customs, government institutions, relations with Indians.
