Fifth American Edition, With additional Notes and Corrections." Dennis Heartt, printer. 324 p., frontispiece; 18 cm. Contemporary calf spine with gilt-tooled spine title and gilt rules on spine; marbled paper over boards. Frontispiece bears small portraits of 9 religious figures "Engraved for S.C. Ustick." Not in Early American Imprints, ser. II: Shaw-Shoemaker. At head of title page: "James Reed's Book." Paper label on back fixed endpaper indicating that this book was given to the Washington County Historical Society by Dottie Lockhart in 1906. Two paper labels on lower half of spine. Very scarce. In Good+ Condition: rubbed; loss of 2 cm. at tail of spine; front joint cracked; shadow on title page from frontispiece; pages are browning with several small stains; otherwise, clean and solid.
