Burgundy cloth-covered dust jackets with gilt spine title. "Van Tassel Edition" -- at head of title pages. Each page is printed within red-and-green decorative border of leaves and flowers. Plates have captioned tissue guards. Illustrations include art by Arthur Rackham, Julian Rix, F.O.C. Darley, and Allan Barraud, and photographs by Joseph Jefferson and others. A beautiful edition. Books are in Near Fine Condition: upper bevelled edges are slightly dusty; tissue guards have left light shadows on facing pages; otherwise, clean and bright. Light rubbing and bumps to outside spine edges. Back cover and interior cloth covered board has a stain at top. Original owner's name and address from 1908, but no other writing or marks. First 2 pages have a stain at top, but text of 192 pages of poetry and recitations is totally clean with light tanning of pages.
