About This Item

Los Angeles: Zeitlin & Ver Brugge, 1970. Hardcover. Fine/Very Good. Facsimile reprint of the fourth edition (revised and augmented, with introduction and notes by Robinson). xxxv, 744 pp, with illustrations, appendices, index. Very slight ripple to a small section of cloth on the front board, else a fine copy in dust jacket with some rubbing, chipping to spine ends. From the dust jacket: "What gives Sixty Years in California its vitality and lasting appeal? The answer is that it is a very personal and unique account of a dusty, muddy adobe village emerging from pueblo days and of a young city rising in strength. With the wealth of individual recollections and the enormous number of its characters, it brings the world of old Los Angeles to life. It continues to be Southern California's landmark chronicle." This edition limited to 1250 copies. Due to size, shipping charges may be more than standard for priority or international orders.
