About This Item

[Ann Arbor, Michigan]: Cinema II [University of Michigan?], 1970. Softcover. Near Fine. Issue of Winter, 1970. Slim quarto. Stapled wrappers. Binding very slightly cocked, wrappers with very light wear and soil, near fine. Critics respond to 14 films of the 60s including *Hud, Skammen (Shame), Yellow Submarine, Dr. Strangelove*, and *A Hard Day's Night.* Neal Gabler, who edited this volume and contributed several pieces, would go on to become a noted film critic and author; he was a student at the University of Michigan when this was published. The lower wrap advertises a series of screenings of movies discussed within, at UM's Angell Hall, from January to April 1970. Presumably printed in very small numbers.
