Awkward Ada, Dirty Dick, Kind-Hearted Kitty, Particular Paul, etc etc. Each rhyme is illustrated with a full-page colour illustration. Green decorated cloth with black title to spine and cream title to front cover. All edges are gilt. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Some stains (minor) to front cover. Apart from some foxing the contents are clean and bright.

Most letters are represented by a different type of naughty or disobedient child: Quarrelsome Queenie, Dirty Dick, Noisy Nicholas, Reckless Robin, Sulky Susan etc. Each letter has a humorous rhyme by Bingham faced by a marvelous full page color illustration by John Hassall in his broad style using flat colors. Rare.
