Collated, complete.In one of author Arthur Young's many outings to survey the agricultural lands of his native England, he travelled over 2500 miles to the northern boundary of the country, collecting statistical data from farms of all sizes. He gathered information on crop rotations, the implements used, cost of labour and provisions, farm size, and number of men, oxen and horses employed at each farm.Rebacked in calf, retaining the original paper covered boards. Endpapers renewed.A fascinating and extraordinarily detailed first edition. Rebacked in calf, retaining the original paper covered boards. Externally, smart, with handling marks to boards and bumping to board perimeters. Endpapers renewed. Internally, generally firmly bound, but with a few leaves at the centre of volume II detached and loosely inserted. Tide marks to head of leaves at centre of volume II.
