About This Item
Houghton Mifflin, 1896. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good. FIRST Edition, Second State ( see BAL 7138) with blank leaf at rear. A Very Good volume in green cloth with gilt titles and decorations. Front cloth is just slightly puckering along top edge; rear book boards gently rubbed with a tiny white spot. Inner hinges just starting to show webbing - but still a very tight text block/volume. Interior pages are clean, with just the usual very slight age-toning to margins. Front free end-paper has a 1897 date and p.o.name (very neatly done). Harris wrote this one year after his "Mr. Rabbit at Home" title. Protected in stiff mylar.
