Boston: Ticknor, Reed, and Fields, 1852. First thus. Red Cloth. Very Good +. From The Spectator. Original binding. Bookplate at front paste down reading "Presented/in Memory/of/A. Ogden Butler/Class of 1853/of/New York University." Foxing to free endpapers and rear pastedown, slightly and occasionally in largely clean text, not affecting readability. Gilt-edged pages, gilt oval decoration at front cover. Spine ends gently worn, and small hole center spine. Cover corners gently bumped and worn, edges sharp. Small, faint spot at front cover. Binding firm and tight.
