Green stamped cloth, gilt lettering on spine & front cover and lavish gilt decoration on spine. 31 pp. of text + 57 bw laid-in plates, Presents the life and work of British artist and designer Edward Burne-Jones (1833-1898). Begins with 31 pages of text consisting of a biographical study by Malcolm Bell. Tipped-in frontis and 56 tipped in plates on their own sheets of captioned heavy, dark green card-stock paper. The book is well-bound in sturdy dark green cloth-covered boards with stamped gilt lettering and decorative blind-stamping on the front, and with elaborate floral designs in gilt on the spine. A nice looking volume.
