The first edition, first printing of Sins of America: As "Exposed" by the Police Gazette, in the publisher's scarce art-deco era dust jacket.. Quarto, xx, [2], 297pp. Purple cloth, title embossed in black and pink on cover. No additional printings mentioned on copyright page. A near fine example, solid text block, free of soiling or notable wear. In the publisher's scarce dust jacket, price-clipped, closed tear through front panel with archival tissue repair, chipping along top edge. This work is complete, with 206 reproductions of the original woodcut illustrations. A scarce work in the publisher's dust jacket. The Sins of America is a follow-up to The Sins of New York (1930), both originally appeared in tabloid publication, The National Police Gazette. There are no other known copies in the publisher's dust jacket.
