About This Item
Robert Hale Ltd., 1961. Hardcover. Very Good. in x in x in. Unread. Foxing to top page edges and rear end pages. No markings in book. DJ with shelf wear to edges. Fold mark on front free page. This border town recaptures its very essence through childhood memories. its sights, sounds history and traditions, its people and above all its children. Kirsty Minto whose recollections are observed are extraordinarily clear and her descriptive writing in the retrospect of age has a like clarity and beauty.138pp Book is bright but dustwrapper has a few nicks on top edge but this does not really detract from the very pretty picture of 2 Victorian children through the arch looking into Berwick via the river. The dustwrapper is lilac and yellow and is in a protective sleeve apparently put on years ago. Some foxing to top page edges and inside back cover.
