Overall a very good copy of this rare and beautiful book. An unnumbered review copy outside of the regular 500 copies in this rare finely printed edition. Omega Workshops was started in 1913 by artist Roger Fry at Fitzroy Square (Bloomsbury), London and involved many prominent artists and writers of the time, including Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant. A sort of modernist precursor, the Omega Workshops emphasized the decorative arts, and this beautifully illustrated first book, with fine woodcuts by Roald Kristian reflects the craftsmanship of this distinguished group of artists. "Printed under the direction of J.H. Mason" - from the colophon.
