Spine ends and lower corners slightly rubbed, some faint spotting to rear cover, front hinge mended, else a near fine copy in original color pictorial dust jacket (2" closed tear at bottom of rear panel, some wear and chipping along folds and edges, 2" x 2" faint dampstain in upper right corner of front panel).
First edition, first state (illustrated endpapers, 16-page gatherings,) binding A (silver embellishments on front and illustration of a girl's face on spine,) first state dust jacket (metallic silver embellishments, listing only to this title on rear flap). From the collection of Fred M. Meyer, long-time Secretary of the International Wizard of Oz Club. King Randy of Regalia, frustrated and bored with his royal routine, sets out with his friend Kabumpo the Elegant Elephant on an excursion through the countryside.
