First printing stated; gray cloth, 4to, 174,[1] pages, lush black and white illustrations on alternating pages with blank versos, illustrated endpapers. Tiny spot of soiling on bottom rear board tip; price-clipped dust jacket is edge worn with a bit of soiling on rear panel, short closed tear at head of spine, now in protective mylar cover. Lynd Ward's beautiful wordless story of a lonely boy and his travels with an imaginary winged pony.
Synopsis
Told only in pictures, this is the story of a lonely farm boy who confuses his dreams of adventure on a winged pony with reality.
