Michael Joseph Ltd, 1947. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1947. First Edition. 368 pages. No dust jacket. Black cloth covered boards with gilt. Pages have mild tanning and foxing throughout, moderate at end-papers, paste-downs and text-block edges. Front free end-paper clipped and has minor pencil mark. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Front board cloth is dust stained. Rear board cloth has damp staining.Book has a slight forward lean. Mild crushing to spine ends. Gilt lettering is bright and clear.
