About This Item

Bobbs-Merril, 1954. Hardcover. Very Good Plus/Very Good. 7X5X1. Harry Lees. SIGNED By Author, Katharine E. Wilkie, who was born in 1904! Childhood of Famous Americans Early Edition Vintage Cloth Cover Hardback Book with Dust Jacket is in Very Good Plus or better condition with a tight binding and clean crisp pages. The only writing in the book is done by the author with a short inscription and her signature on the first blank end page. There is also a small smudge at the bottom of this page, but that is the only mark noted in the book. The book truly appears to be UNREAD, so the inscription to "Preston" tells on him, that he did not read the book! No other writing or marks in the book. Inside text appears to be unread. Book has come from a private collection. Outside cloth covers are nice with some minor corner wear. Dust Jacket is price clipped and has some small missing pieces primarily from the top and bottom of the outside spine and the front cover bottom edge shows some creasing and small missing pieces. The Dust Jacket is now covered by a new clear mylar cover. Definitely a very old classic of one of the great Childhood of Famous Americans books. Hard to Find Title!
