Fine-looking, structurally sound copy of Volume 10 (1950) of this journal devoted to the social and technical history of printing and typography. Original publisher's glassine wraps present, too, but rear panel torn. Printed for the journal by the Curwen Press. Edited by Oliver Simon, and with two original duotone illustrations by Lucian Freud in fold-out at frontis, tissue-guarded, then an essay about Theodore Low de Vinne by Carl Purington Rollins, and two additional essays by A.F. Johnson and Ellic Howe. Notes, news, illustrations galore. 64 pp. plus publisher's advertisements and period ads.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
