About This Item

Chicago, Ilinois: R. R. Donnelley & Sons, 1958. 1958 Lakeside Classic . Hardcover. Near Fine. 293 pages, including an index, plus a historical introduction by Dr. Quaife. Volume itself has blue cloth covers with sharp gilt lettering on the spine and a sharp Lakeside Press Emblem in gilt on the front cover. The top edge of the work is gilt and the outer and bottom edges are deckled. Inside the front cover is appears a piece of scotch tape or the equivalent of a shade over 1/2 of an inch in length was at some point removed. There is a tissue guarded frontispiece ahead of a reproduction of a portrait of Lieutenant John Rutherfurd. The tissue guard is fully intact with no tears. A slight touch of wear at the base of the spine, all in all, a quite nice copy of an increasing scarce work. Available for immediate shipment, carefully packed in a sturdy box.
