Leipzig: Bernhard Tauchnitz, 1874. Half Leather. A volume of "Collection of British Authors - Tauchnitz, Edition, Vol. 1175." An English resident tells of the Seige of Paris, 1870-1871. Black leather spine and corners, gilt titling on spine,green marbled boards and end papers, speckled text block edge, inscription reads, "From the Author, Nathan Sheppard Apr. 23/78," 312 pages. Cover has edge wear, some of the black surface of leather rubbed through, front gutter partially split, cover has shelf wear - some of the marbled surface of cover and front end paper is rubbed through, text block edge darkened, first free end paper missing, owner's name stamp on end paper and again on first page of text along with his name in ink, text is clean and tight. This is an attractive little book. Shipping charges are calculated for a standard parcel under 1 kg. Additional charges will apply for heavier shipments, but not until the customer agrees.
