The dust jacket is unclipped (£14.99) with a tiny tear to the spine tail and a faint crinkle to the top front corner. Removable Waterstones sticker. Protected in a new Brodart Mylar cover. 430 pages. 6¼ x 9½" tall.
The story of Hugh "Shuggie" Bain, the youngest of three children, a sweet and lonely boy who spends his 1980s childhood in run-down public housing in Glasgow, Scotland. Thatcher's policies have put husbands and sons out of work, and the city's notorious drugs epidemic is waiting in the wings.
