Including biographical study of the life and work of Thomas Becket. Complete with all four series, bound in uniform full tree calf bindings by T. Hunt, Wellington College. Written by James Anthony Froude, English author and editor for Fraser's Magazine, as well as famous historian. Rebound in full tree calf bindings with five raised bands, decorative gilt tooling to spine and extremities of bords, Wellington College gilt blind stamp to front board; marbled endpapers and edges. Externally very smart with minor shelf wear, rubbed to joints. Minor mark to spine vol. II. Evidence of the removal of a sticker to front pastedown vol. I, significantly rubbed. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Very Good Indeed

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
