Printed for J. Dodsley, in Pall-mall; and T Cadell, successor to Mr. Millar, in the Strand. London. 1775. Small 8vo. (6.4 x 4.1 inches). xv, 221pp, Publishers advert leaf. A neat previous owner name and date, 'Miss Barwell, Oct. 1779', on the front free endpaper. Small crease to the bottom outer margin of a few pages but overall a bright, clean and fresh copy. Fine contemporary binding of full tan calf. Spine with raised bands. Compartments have gilt rules. Red title label, gilt. Board edges with decorative gilt roll design. Marbled endpapers. A small ink spot to the lower board but overall a lovely copy in a fine 18th century calf binding. Originally published in 1762, Lowth's Introduction to Gramar went through several printings and revisions by the author.
