Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout. Heavier tanning to free endpapers. Thumb-marking present. Grubby pages throughout. Noticeable creasing to gutter. Cracking to rear hinge and gutters, leaving netting exposed. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Some crushing to spine ends. Noticeable tanning to spine and edges. Black marks to boards. Textblock is shaky.

Binding has remained firm. Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Light tanning to spine and edges. Book has a forward lean. Boards are bowed. The unclipped dust jacket has heavy edge wear, with tears, chips and areas of loss. Moderate tanning to spine and edges.

Methuen & Co Ltd, London, 1928. Hardcover. Good. 1928. 298 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth. Illustrated by Will Owen. Pages and binding are presentable with no major defects. Minor issues present such as mild cracking, inscriptions, inserts, light foxing, tanning and thumb marking. Overall a good condition item. Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some light marking and tanning.

Scribners, 1909 Sea Stories Will Owen Hardcover Reprint. Very good. Missing dust jacket. General minor wear and edgewear. Corners slightly bumped. Wear at head and tail of spine. Binding is cracked but intact. Most of the pages have fore-edge tanning. Text is marked up in pencil. Navy blue cloth boards with gilt lettering and decoration. Black and white illustrations by Will Owen. This may be the first American edition as copyright page indicates 1907 while title page indicates 1909.
