Hodder and Stoughton, 1917.. 1st printing. Very good pamphlet. Greenish wrappers are browned along edges with some scuffing. The paper is also lightly yellowed. Slight rust marks from two staples that hold the pamphlet together in margins of pages 4-5. A ten page essay written in 1917 in English featuring William Archer's rebuttal to the assertion of Georg Morris Cohen Brandes, a Danish scholar and critic, that the war was the result of stupidity and incompetence. In an interesting piece of British wartime propaganda, Archer asserts that the war is all Germany's fault and that Brandes is an apologist for Germany.
