First edition.. 40 pp. Very near fine in very good dust jacket that has overall light edgewear, a few closed tears (internally mended), and sticker residue to the rear panel. Dated (1977) and wonderfully INSCRIBED by Meredith to publisher Jack Shoemaker, “Use this, Jack, as I do, will you? As admonition / to young poets (though I was 29 the day it was / published) not to publish a second book until / you have written one. Reluctantly but with / warm esteem, signed / William Meredith.” Additionally, Meredith has made and initialed three corrections to the text.
