Publisher's pictorial wine-red wrappers, lettered in white on the spine and front cover, lg 8vo. The Shan are a Tai ethnic group of Southeast Asia; they live primarily in the Shan State of Burma (Myanmar), but also inhabit parts of the Mandalay Region, Kachin State, and Kayin State, and in adjacent regions of China, Laos and Thailand. No ownership marks and no signs of use.
