Limited to 500 numbered copies, this being #474, signed by Pelecanos, Gary Phillips, and dust jacket designer Michael Kellner. The jacket art depicts fellow author Gary Phillips portraying gangster Horace McKinley from the novel. Suitable for framing. Please note this is a dust jacket only, no book. Dennis McMillan had originally planned to issue a limited edition of this title, however, Pelecanos' publisher moved up the publication date of the trade edition. Synopsis
Shame the Devil is a 2000 crime novel written by George Pelecanos. It is set in Washington DC and focuses on a botched robbery and its consequences. It is the last of four books comprising the D.C. Quartet. The other books in this series are The Big Blowdown, King Suckerman, and The Sweet Forever.
