Hard cover in good condition with brown boards, teal spine cloth, gold spine lettering with a blue panel with green horizontal lines representing grass. Former owner's name at top right corner of front free endpaper. Papers are age toned; light foxing throughout, especially on the plates: four glossy Black & white photographs. Frontispiece is one of these and is of Isak Dinesen in New York in 1959. This portrait, and another included, were painted by Isak Dinesen herself. Dust jacket is good condition with a 1 1/2"" rectangle missing from the heel of spine; age toning to papers, shelf & edge wear. Also included is a ""Bookmark"" reprinted from Book-of-the-Month Club News"" which opens and contains a report by Basil Davenport about the life of Isak Dinesen."" * From the jacket flaps, ""Out of Africia"" is perhaps Isak Dinesen's most widely read work.
